The other Mrs Jordan

I recently joined a book club. I have no clue what books dumps down my letterbox each month, which I think is exciting. This way I get to read books I probably never would have chose myself when looking for a new book to read in the library or in the bookshop.

The first book I got was ”The Other Mrs Jordan. A true story of bigamy and betrayal”. I just let it stand and look pretty on my bookshelf for a month or so before boredom slipped in and I spontaneously grabbed the book and crawled under a blanket in the sofa and started reading. I´m a huge data nerd so I spend most of my free time sitting here but to my boyfriends pleasure I now stayed occupied reading most of the time. I read it in three days (that´s pretty fast when being a mother of two:)). I have mostly read fantasy and horror books so I never could have seen myself reading about bigamy…But this woman touched my heart with her story and knowing this was something that actually have happened it got to me and it was interesting taking part in someone elses life story. It made me reflect on my own life and how blessed I am and having the knowledge of how life COULD be and what happens to others in the world is something I treasure.
